Create a Home Sweet Home Framed Map

  • A Picture Frame – Mine is 12” x 18”. The glass is not required. If you do not want a picture frame, you can use canvas instead.
  • 2 sheets colored cardstock – I used 80 lb green, but you can use any color you like.  If you do not want to use colored paper, you can use regular printer paper instead.
  • 1 sheet white cardstock – I used 80lb white cardstock.  If you do not want to use white cardstock, you can use regular printer paper instead.
  • 2 sheets back cardstock – I used 80lb cardstock.
  • Glue – I used my Bearly Art Crafting glue but any crafting glue will work
  • Foam Tape – I like to use strips, but dots will work as well.
  • Glue Gun & Hot Glue – optional
  • Old House Key
  • Scissors & Paper Cutter
  • Tape
  • Roll of white paper, wide enough to cover your mat in your picture frame.
  • Printer – Ideally you will be able to print in color, but this is not required. You can have your map printed in shades of gray.

This project is done on a PC, so the programs used are PowerPoint, and Snipping Tool.

Learn to Make a Air-Dry Clay Trinket Dish

You will need assorted tools to work with the clay — most of which you probably already have in your stash.

  • Exacto knife, spatula, squeegees, fine grit sandpaper, etc.
  • You will need some type of round object to trace for the dish. I used a small bowl.
  • Saran Wrap
  • Surface for rolling out clay – possibilities are a silicone mat, or a smooth tile piece.
  • Bowl of water & sponge; paint brush

Optional: the following items are things that I found really helpful, but certainly are not required to make these trinket dishes
