This page is your go-to for speaker resources (links, dates, and tips to make this event a success for YOUR brand). My goal is to make this event easy and organize. This page is designed to answer any questions you might have about participating.

This Creativepreneur Summit is a 3-day virtual event for online business owners, who want to learn the best way to manage their non-creative business essential tasks to build a stronger business.

About the host: For years I’ve been helping small businesses learn to grow their creative business. As a solopreneur since 1997, I know it can be exhausting and at times it feels like it takes so much to get ahead.

This is why I have decided to bring together 25+ amazingly supportive online entrepreneur friends to collaborate with and help raise up others as a team. Rising tides really do raise ALL ships!

How this Summit works...

Here Is A Quick Rundown of How the Creativepreneur Summit Will Flow.

The event will run from May 19-21, 2024 (CST US timezone), featuring about 10 pre-recorded sessions each day. The pre-recorded presentations will be on a website to access presenters content for 24 hours (for free users), and VIP attendees (for paid users) will get to keep access in Thrivecart Learn, with the bonus toolkit content.

While the presentations will be pre-recorded on our course site, all speakers are asked to spend some time with the attendees in the Facebook Group the day their presentation is free. (Do a post and share a graphic about your sessions or you. Comment and interact on other posts).

Interacting with attendees and answering any questions on your presentation is key to building long-lasting fans! This group is for attendees to hang out in, ask us additional questions and find new inspiration with other creative business owners posts. (This link is below in your handy to-do list.)

Leading up to the Creativepreneur Summit, we’ll have 18 days of promotion. This gives you time to connect with your audience and introduce them to the idea of a summit created just for them.

Feel free to start dropping teasers about the event sooner to get your audience excited for when you share your affiliate links on open cart day (May 1).

You’ll be provided swipe copy for emails and social media messages, plus graphics to save you time in promoting! I’ll create a suggested marketing schedule to make it easy for you (or your VA) to share and promote the event to build up your commissions.

Each speaker is asked to please share with their audience by:

  • Sending 2 emails
  • Create at least 2 social media posts

The more you share and talk about it, the more successful it will be for YOUR brand. This is your chance to earn hundreds and even thousands of dollars in about 2 weeks time.

VIP Ticket: Although it is free to watch during the 3 days, there’s an upgrade for instant & lifetime access. During the promotional phase, as the summit is running, and for a few days after the summit is complete, we’ll also promote this VIP Ticket. This is their upgraded ticket to accessing the replays and bonuses inside the VIP Ticket.

This will provide immense value to our speakers for doing the work of creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions. Win-win!

To-Do List
What I'll need from you!

If you are available to meet our deadlines and promote during our marketing timeline (May 5-19, 2024), then let me start by saying, WELCOME!

And I’ll jump right in to your to-do list so you can plan. I know how busy we all are, so my goal is to make this as simple and organized as possible.

1. Basic Information

I’ll need your basic information first. We use this to build out the pages for attendees so they can connect with you.

The basic information form mostly includes: Name, bio, headshot and social media links.

This should take about 5-10 minutes to upload all this information easily. (TIP: I keep a text document with this information so I can copy and paste links to make it go faster)

2. Presentation

Presentations are to be uploaded by March 21, 2024.

Topic Guidelines For Your Presentation

Each presenter should lean into their topic and provide value in this video. This can be a video where you only share your screen and show them how to’s, or a video of your face where you share some knowledge bombs! These are our topic categories each day:

  • Skill Building (Bookkeeping, Canva, Procreate, Legal, etc)
  • Revenue Stream Ideas (Print on Demand, Sponsorships, Etsy Shops, eBook Sales, Affiliate Sales, Subscriptions, etc)
  • Marketing/Growth (SEO/Keywords, Canva Scheduling, Facebook Ads, Blogging, Pinterest, Craft Booth Shows, etc)

Recording Tips For Presentations

These are generally more friendly and casual than perfectly structured videos – but if that’s your jam, go for it! We want our attendees to learn something great while having fun in the process, so keep that in mind with whatever format you pick.

Length is usually 20-35 minutes. I wouldn’t worry about the length as much as making sure your presentation has quality content (some could be 12 mins/others might be close to an hour if the topic goes deep).

We will include 2 links with your video:

  1. You may talk about a free resource on your site 
  2. Feel free to include up to a 3-minute pitch AT THE END for something you sell.

Please structure your content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they’ve learned something. Videos should not be in a webinar format where they feel like they’re missing something and need to buy from you in order to get value from your topic.

Tell them what they need to know while being the fun and lovable self you are, and it will be perfect!

With that being said, here are some presentation format ideas for you use:

  • Slides
  • Just your smiling face, or your hands creating (no slides)
  • A mixture of the two
  • Screen share for tech

If you are new, you might want a little more guidance when filming here is a suggested production timeline:

  1. A quick introduction and welcome to Creativepreneur Summit [about 1 minute].
  2. An overview of your topic (usually just a sentence or two) [30-60 seconds].
  3. Teaching Section [10-30 minute range].
  4. At the end, you may include up to a 3-minute pitch (for a paid offer to be linked under your video).
  5. Include a question for attendees and invite them to share their answer in the attendee Facebook group. This will get more interested in your session and talking about your tutorial [1-2 minutes].

Tip: End by talking about what you have coming up on your blog or social media to give them a reason to hurry over. (Example to say… “In August, I’ll be sharing my favorite Bootcamp for [niche]” … or “On my Instagram, I do weekly reels with top 5 tips for _____, don’t forget to follow me!”).

3. Worksheet or Handout

If your tutorial has a handout or worksheet/workbook, to help them we will host this with your video on the event site. This is not required but an option if you need it. If you have slides, you can provide them in a PDF format.

4. VIP Ticket Bonus Contribution

 The details for the VIP Bonuses from speakers are to be uploaded by March 21, 2024.

The VIP Bonus contribution are optional for speakers but will be a huge addition in making this profitable for you as a speaker. To make it even more valuable that they grab a VIP upgrade to keep the tutorials, each of the speakers and sponsors are invited to provide one resource to this section. This includes things like:

  • eBooks
  • Workbooks
  • Courses (big or small)
  • 1-month memberships
  • Workshops or Tutorials Replays

This can not be a free offer, must be $30 (or more).

Note: These generally convert so well that you don’t want to contribute a 1:1 service/offer.

It’s your choice if you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have completed. While this isn’t required, it’s highly encouraged that you participate to get the most out of this Creativepreneur Summit.

Additional Commission:

One benefit of the VIP Ticket is that any presenter who does contribute a premium resource (AKA, not something you’re giving away for free to everyone else) will get a 50% affiliate commission on sales rather than the standard 40% for speakers.

If you choose to participate, add this information when you upload your video and the remainder of your sessions’ details.

How to add your VIP Bonus:

  • Information for these resources are due on March 21, 2024. This is when the link is due to your VIP offer, we need the code active on your site from March 21 (for testing) through August 21, 2024. Anything longer than that is up to you.
  • The event has one coupon code for you to use on YOUR site for them to access your VIP offer. Do not share this code, the VIP attendees will have access.
  • You will host this on your site so you can collect emails for sharing your paid offer for free with the VIP (paid) attendees. You can see how this is a HUGE traffic source and often my beneficial part of speaking in other summits.

5. Promotion / Marketing

The power of an online summit comes from the collaboration of a group of experts coming together for the same mission. The timely promotions that happen because of this creates a huge benefit to everyone involved. (hello easy affiliate commissions!)

With this in mind, everyone is asked to share on social media and to email their lists at least twice (each) during the promotional period: May 5-19, 2024 (CST US timezone).

You’ll want to share using your affiliate link (which you will set up from a link we email you). You can get in on the 40% commission that will come from any VIP Ticket sales (or 50% if you’ve contributed a bonus to our VIP Toolkit).

You’ll find swipe copy and graphics in our  Marketing Vault (link updated after all presentations are added). Watch for details in the Speaker’s Facebook Page group.

6. Giveaways

We will showcase a page of giveaways. A giveaway is another easy opportunity to collect hundreds to thousands of leads (emails). It also helps further promote your brand/product.
Giveaways need to be active:
  • May 1 (for testing) 
  • For the event May 5 through May 21 at 5pm CST.
  • Share the winner’s name on this Facebook post by noon on May 24.
I suggest hosting this in 2 ways:
  1. Use a giveaway app. These allow your sign ups to follow you for points. They also enter their email you can collect. (I use the Sweepwidget App, it can also have entries so tasks daily to earn points. (affiliate))
  2. Use an email sign up, tag them for the event making it easier to pick a name.
You are solely responsible for managing, funding, and awarding your giveaway. We will share the link, here is the giveaway page here.

7. Live Event Participation (May 19-21, 2024)

The final step is the easy one. Participation with attendees during the free event. Once we get the videos set and you schedule your emails/posts for the summit, this feels like a breeze.

I kindly ask that you participate in the community in our attendee Facebook Group during your presentation day. Interact with attendees throughout the event to build up YOUR brand!

Affiliate Details

Summits are best known for email building, overall exposure for your brand, and they help you make new connections – a little extra income is exciting too!

That’s where the VIP Ticket comes in! Using your affiliate link in your marketing, you’ll receive a commission from the sales your traffic brings in. Payouts are made 30 days after the event, then are paid on the 15th (or the previous business day) of the following months.

Do NOT share links to the registration page until 8:00 am CST on May 5-19, 2024.

The commission structure is as follows:

  • 30% for non-presenters
  • 40% for all Speakers
  • 50% for Speakers who include a bonus ($30 or more) for our VIP Ticket

The ticket attendee pricing structure (all include bonuses):

  • $27 VIP Ticket – 20 min Fast Acting Bonus (through May 21)

  • $47 VIP Ticket – After the 20-minute timer ends (through May 21)

  • $97 after the summit (May 28, 2024) (no fast action discount)

As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.

Marketing Vault (Resources)

To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, the Marketing Vault in Dropbox includes things like a schedule, graphics and matching email/social media copy.

However, you’re more than welcome to write your own copy and even run your own Facebook or Instagram ads. Just remember to use YOUR affiliate link.

This is why our deadline might feel early.)

For the sake of clarity, here are your current action steps if you are 100% in to join us as a speaker and help promote it:

  1. Join Speaker’s Facebook group
  2. Send me your Basic Information to reserve your speaking spot = Due ASAP/March 1.
  3. Add free event dates to your calendar. (Free May 19-21 & Marketing May 5-19, 2024)
  4. Start to prepare/organize your links/content (for free and VIP Ticket)
  5. Record and upload your video by March 21, 2024.
  6. Join the Attendee Facebook group here.
  7. Attend the marketing meeting to hear all the details April 28 (Zoom with replay available in speaker FB group).

When I’m in other summits, I create this section in the notes on my phone so I can find the details and links. When the affiliate link is ready, I add that and it makes sharing on social more effective.
